  • Monday, June 4th - ReadyGen Lesson 3A.8
    • The learners will  work on ReadyGen Lesson 8 reading chapters 20-22 of George's Secret Key to the Universe with a focus on: 
      • I can determine the meaning of words and phrases as they are used in a text.RL.5.4
      • I can use concrete words and phrases and sensory details to convey experiences and events precisely. W.5.3.d
      • Homework Packet #32 will be passed out!
  • Tuesday, June 5th - ReadyGen Lesson 3A.9
    • The learners will work on ReadyGen Lesson 9 reading chapter 23-25 of George's Secret Key to the Universe with a focus on: 
      • I can determine the meaning of words and phrases as they are used in a text. RL.5.4  
      • I can write narratives to develop real or imagined experiences or events using effective technique, descriptive details, and clear event sequences. W.5.3
  • Wednesday, June 6th - Field Trip to American Museum of Natural History
    • Today we will be going to the museum to visit the Hall of Meteorites to do a fun activity, then head to the Hayden Planetarium to watch the movie "Dark Universe".  This ties in with our class study of George's Secret Key to the Universe.  We will be using AR money to pay the entrance and planetarium show cost so this is a "FREE" trip for the students.  We also need a few chaperones if you are free.  Permission slips went out Thursday and are due back MONDAY at the latest! 
    • After the movie finishes, we will walk across the street to the Diana Ross Playground in Central Park and eat lunch and have recess before returning to PS8.
  • Thursday, June 7th - Anniversary Day (Professional Development Day) - 
    • NO SCHOOL for students! Teachers will be involved in various Professional Development activities and coursework!
  • Friday, June 8th - Skill Review Friday
