Wednesday - February 13th

• 1st and 2nd - Math Block
• Mrs. Baez, the math coach worked with the class on the last section of Chapter 7, using models to show addition and subtraction with mixed numbers.  Tomorrow we will review Chapter 7 and Friday will be the test!
• 3rd - ELA
• We read chapter 22 in The Tiger Rising and then we worked on our discussion strategies by looking at different questions and possible answers.  Students had to discuss why they picked the answers and what parts of the book made them pick that possible answer.  They were all possible answers, so they just had to come up with the WHY for their choice.
• 4th - GYM
• 5th - ELA/Writing
• The focus today of lesson 14 was using pronouns in the writing.  We looked at a powerpoint on using pronouns to make writing more interesting and then we worked on writing the RESTATE and ANSWER portion of RACE questions.  
• 6th - Lunch
• 7th - Social Studies
• Chapter 3 Section 3
• We finished reading chapter 3 which takes us up to the American Revolution and the 13 colonies.  After reading, we watched the first episode of LIBERTY KIDS.
