Math Mock Testing - Day 2

Day 2 of Mock Math Testing is underway!  These tests are very important because they show us what skills the students have mastered and which ones they need before the state test in April.   It also is an indicator of how well the students will do on the state exams.  We might also use these results for grouping and promotion criteria.  It is very important that they are here each day and that they take it very serious and do their best!

  • 1st - Writing prompts / homework check
    • During the short first period, the students had to respond to two small writing prompts that went with the science we read yesterday.  We read and discussed the reading on hurricanes yesterday, took time to underline important facts.  Today they had to write a paragraph putting them in a hurricane, and another paragraph telling a friend five facts about hurricanes.   After this writing break, we went over last night's division fact practice sheet and the reading comprehension sheet.
