Parents:
Your child should be reading NIGHTLY for 30-45 minutes. They should then write a summary of their reading on their reading log. They should then DISCUSS it with you and have you sign off that they did, infact read.
Today when I collected the reading logs, HALF of the class didn't have one to turn in. Please - EACH NIGHT - ask about their reading log.
THE ONLY WAY TO GET BETTER AT READING IS TO READ!!!
