  • 1st - Science
    • Ms. Galan was not here today, so we had the students for Science.  In place of science, we watched the educational film "March of the Penguins" and then related it to the hardships the characters in "The Year of Miss Agnes" faced.
  • 2nd -
    • The Team from Columbia Presbyterian came in and taught the students some new relaxation techniques.  We learned the new techniques and then practiced them all.   Following, the students begged to watch the end of the movie, and since they were so well behaved all morning, and the room is so hot, we decided to let them.
  • 3rd/4th - Literacy Block
    • We reviewed our homework paragraph and division practice.  We then went over the planning process for our extension of Miss Agnes and how we took our planning and made our story.  When then talked about our next step of drafting, revising, editing, and moving toward publishing.
    • Students worked with buddies to revise and edit while others continued to write.
  • 5th - Lunch/Recess
  • 6th - Writing Block
    • Students were given the period to finish their first draft and edit.
  • 7th - Social Studies
    • Finish the Chapter 2 Test on Nigeria and check the answers.
