Wednesday Recap

  • 1st, 2nd and 3rd- Math Block
    • After finishing breakfast, we went over the end of the chapter test for chapter 12.  The review in the book is EXACTLY like the unit test, only the change the questions slightly.  If they do well on the chapter review, they will do well on the chapter test!
    • After going over it and answering any questions, students took the Chapter 12 test.
    • When they finished, they worked quietly at their desk until the rest were finished.
  • Part of 3rd and 4th - Literacy Block
    • We started ReadyGen lesson 3b.12.  The focus was using illustrations to understand the text.  We read about the flooding of China and how human interference in the form of making dikes was actually making the problem worse.
    • We had a lot of new vocabulary so we took our time reading the text and using the illustrations and text features to understand the content.
  • 5th - Lunch
  • 6th - Gym
  • 7th - Finished Literacy
    • We used the last 30 minutes to finish our text from "Natural Disasters".  We made connections to what we already knew and we answered the series of key idea and details questions to make sure they understood.
    • We went over homework and packed up.
