What a wonderful day!
Today we had a busy day, but it went by so fast!
We did our test prep and then moved into lesson 2B.7. Our focus was on Cause and Effect as a text structure and understanding more than one main idea in a text. We finished chapter 6 of Escape to Freedom, did our independent practice on cause and effect, and then took the AR test on the book as well.
We were lucky enough to get to go see Willy Wonka from 9:45 until about 10:45.
I had 6 students up for lunch today. We dined on Pizza and Orange Soda while watching TROLLS! It was a nice reward for hard work and time for me to bond with my kids in a small group setting. Best $25 bucks I spent all day!
Finally, the only homework is to work on the Winter Break Packets and for those very smart students who want to do their best on the State Test, I will see you next Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at the Mid-Winter Break ELA Academy.
