also known as.. The DAY AFTER ... SNOW DAY!
- 1st - Music with Ms. Young
- Ms. Young was very disappointed in several of the boys who would rather run around and hit/push each other than learn fun music and play keyboards. She expressed how difficult it was to teach when these few boys disrupt the entire class.
- 2nd - STAR READING and Collect Permission Slips and $ for Upcoming Field Trip!!!
- If you finished the STAR READING, you could get the ELA Homework Packet and work on Monday's assignment since we missed it due to SNOW DAY!
- 3rd - Math
- Lesson 8.4 - Multiplying by a whole number and a fraction or mixed number. We did several examples of this section and students did a good job. They still need to practice on making mixed numbers improper fractions and making improper fractions mixed numbers. THIS IS BIG on the state test.
- 4th - Math Chapter 7 Summative Task
- We did a "rethink" about the math summative task and then changed the problems and students reworked this task. They needed to MODEL and they needed to explain. The math was ok, but they effort just wasn't there. They thought it might have been because we did it after Mid-Winter Break.. .but we will see if the "rethink, redo" improves their performance and product.
- 5th - Math
- STAR MATH and update the data boards
- 6th - Lunch
- 7th - ELA and MATH Test Prep
Homework
- Math - GoMath 8.4 Practice
- ELA Packet 21 - Day 1
