Tuesday, March 26

  • 1st - Music with Ms. Young
  • 2nd / 3rd - ELA Block
    • Students finished their New Unit Pre-test.  Then we had a morning meeting to go over the background of the revolution.  We talked about key reasons and key players in the American Revolution.  We then read the first chapter of our new class novel "Johnny Tremain".
  • 4th/5th - Math Block
    • We did a review of measuring and drawing angles.  We took a lot of time looking at angles to make sure they could recognize if the angle was obtuse, it couldn't be 60 degrees... of if it was acute, it couldn't be 120 degrees.  They need to be able to look at an angle and say, yes, that sounds like the right measurement.
    • Today we did lesson 11.4 which was the additive property of angles.  Basically if you have two small angles connected, you can add them to get the size of the big angle they create.  If you have a big angle and one of the small angles, you can subtract to find the measure of the missing angle.
  • 6th - Lunch
  • 7th - Social Studies
    • With 1/2 the class gone at musical practice, the rest of the class watched The Green Mountain Boys episode of Liberty Kids.
Homework:
  • Math GoMath 11.4 practice (problems that don't need a protractor)
  • Finding Angle Measures by adding or subtracting
  • Reading packet Day 2
